Las Toldas Festival

Every November the municipality of Toledo, about 170 kilometers north of Medellín, celebrates its "Fiestas de las Toldas Toledanas", which has become the main celebration in the town's festive calendar.
 
For five days, Toledo residents enjoy a wide range of activities such as the traditional heeled race in which couples participate and must run through the streets of the town wearing heels and holding hands.
