In December, Yopal is the scene of the Livestock Exhibition (Exposición Ganadera y Festival Internacional de La Carne), a key event for the livestock sector in the region along with the Livestock Fair that takes place in September.
 
The bovine and equine fairs are the main events of the exhibition. To the traditional equine judging in the trail, walk and trot modalities, we add the bovine judging divided by breed where excellent specimens of Simmental, Nelore, Gyr, Brahman and Angus are present.
 

Every November, Yopal, capital of the department of Casanare, hosts the "El Garcero Del Llano" Festival, an event whose main objective is the promotion of Llanera culture among new generations. The festival, born in 1993, was declared the nation's cultural heritage in 2012.

In January, the Pedro Flórez International Festival of the "Bandola Llaner" a is held in Maní, a municipality of Casanare located about 80 kilometers from Yopal, with which tribute is paid to this characteristic instrument of the Colombian and Venezuelan plains and to Pedro Flórez, musician from Maní who is considered the best bandit player in Colombia.

At the end of June, within the framework of the San Pedro festivities, the Amazon Folk Festival (Festival Folclórico de La Amazonía) takes place in Florence, one of the most anticipated celebrations in the festive calendar of the capital of Caquetá that has been celebrated uninterruptedly since its establishment. in 1994.
 

In October, Florence is the scene of Expo Caquetá, the most important agricultural fair in the department and one of the most prominent in the entire Colombian Amazon region.
 
Bovine and equine exhibitions are some of the main events of the fair. In the same way, judging is carried out in the traditional categories of trocha, trot and gallop, as well as donkeys and mules. 

The bovine exhibitions include events such as the dairy cow competition and demonstrations of making different types of cheese as well as tastings of dairy products.

In June, around the "Sampedrina" festivals characteristic of the department of Caquetá, the Festival of Cultural Traditions “El Gran Pirarucú” (Festival de Tradiciones Culturales el Gran Pirarucu) is celebrated in Morelia, which takes its name from a freshwater fish characteristic of the Amazon, which was introduced in Morelia. in the 1990s and has become a symbol of the municipality, having a monument in the town's main park.
 

In San Vicente del Caguán, about 150 kilometers from Florencia, the Folkloric and Cultural Artistic Festival of the Yariseño Dance (Festival Folclórico y Baile del Yariseño) is held at the end of June, a celebration that pays tribute to the emblematic dance of the municipality, written by maestro Jorge Villamil in 1970, combining elements of the "sanjuanero", the" joropo" and the "pasillo" as a tribute to the diverse origins of the settlers who populated the region in the first half of the 20th century.
 

At the beginning of July, the municipality of Puerto Rico, on the banks of the Guayas River in Caquetá, celebrates its traditional "Sampedrina Festival", a typical festival for the entire department.
 
During the weekend, Puerto Ricans and visitors can enjoy different activities such as troupe parades with typical Colombian costumes, cultural displays of Sanjuanero - traditional dance from Huila and Caquetá -, horseback riding, sporting events and live concerts with guest artists.
