Bojacá, a small municipality whose head is located just 40 kilometers west of Bogotá, is one of the main destinations for religious tourism during Holy Week for the inhabitants of Cundinamarca.

The celebrations of Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and Friday and the Easter Vigil are lived with particular devotion in the Parish of San Lorenzo Mártir, guarded by the Dominican fathers who have carried the town's doctrine since the mid-17th century.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Health is one of the most visited places by devotees in the region thanks to the presence of an image of the Virgin Mary considered miraculous.

The image, brought to Colombia by the Spanish José Pérez in 1739, has rested in the parish temple of Bojacá since 1757 and numerous cures of diseases and other miracles are attributed to it.

Holy Week in Bojacá is a perfect opportunity to visit this small town and fall in love with its beautiful colonial architecture, its fervor and its atmosphere of spirituality and tradition.
