At the beginning of the year Miraflores celebrates its fairs and festivals with the Mirafloreña Culture and Colony Festival (Festival de La Cultura y La Colonia) that takes place during the Three Kings Bridge.
During the festival, Miraflores and attendees from other places in Boyacá and the country enjoy events that celebrate local customs and that are already a hallmark of the town's festivities, such as the popular donkey race, the tractor-trailer contest, pet contests, the horseback riding, livestock shows and competitions and the rockets that inaugurate the festivities with a fireworks show.
Likewise, during the four days of the festival you can enjoy the typical dishes and products of Miraflores such as “chamba” (characteristic fruit of the town, similar to guava), alfondoque (curd paste made with cane molasses), masato and the traditional corn dough.
