In October in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal the Araucaria Festival (Fiesta de Las Araucarias) is celebrated, a traditional festival named in honor of this emblematic tree of this town of Risaralda and which is celebrated around the anniversary of the founding of the municipality, which is commemorated the 13th of the month.
Among the varied program of the festivities, the Santarrosaneidad parade stands out, a lively parade in which the town's inhabitants walk the streets to the rhythm of traditional music, wearing the typical peasant costumes of the region.
The popular “Yipao” also takes place, a Willys Jeep parade that is emblematic of several festivals in the Colombian coffee zone.
The concerts, with renowned artists of national and international stature, are another of the main attractions of the festivities, as well as the gastronomic samples, where visitors can enjoy typical dishes such as Santa Rosa chorizo, famous nationally.
There are also sporting activities, such as cycling and athletics, and cultural events including music performances, folk dance and craft exhibitions.
These festivals are a tribute to the natural and cultural wealth of Santa Rosa de Cabal, attracting both tourists and the local community, and strengthening the identity of this charming coffee region.
