At the beginning of August, the municipality of Hacarí in Norte de Santander celebrates its patron saint festivities in honor of San Miguel and San Cayetano (Fiestas de SanMiguel y San Cayetano), whose festivities are commemorated on September 29 and August 7 respectively.

"Vallenato", a genre deeply rooted in the region, stars in the concerts held during the festivals. There are also presentations of northern music, salsa and cumbia that ensure the enjoyment of the entire community.

In addition to the concerts, sporting events mark the holidays with lightning micro-soccer and soccer tournaments.

There are also parades with troupes and floats, music and dance competitions, as well as gastronomic fairs that offer typical dishes from the region and peasant markets with local products. Samples of local crafts are also an important part of the celebration, highlighting the creativity and skill of Hacarí's artisans.

The Patron Saint Festivities of Hacarí (Fiestas de SanMiguel y San Cayetano) not only honor the patron saints of the municipality, but also strengthen the sense of community and local pride, promoting cultural identity and tourism in the municipality.
