In January, the municipality of Vista Hermosa, in the southern part of the Meta department, celebrates its Summer Festival on the Guejar River (Festival de Verano del Río Guejar), located just a few kilometers from the town center.

The festival offers a wide range of recreational, cultural, and sports activities, taking advantage of the Guejar's beaches and waters.

There are soccer and beach volleyball tournaments in men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, as well as beach games and challenges suitable for the whole family. In the river, the traditional regatta is held, a journey using inner tubes as boats.

In addition to these activities, horseback rides are organized, allowing participants to appreciate the landscapes and biodiversity of the region, along with a motocross competition.

The festival would not be complete without its cultural component, which includes "llanera" music concerts, with "joropo" as the main rhythm, as well as performances by nationally renowned guest artists.

The Vista Hermosa Summer Festival is an opportunity to enjoy local culture, nature, and community unity, highlighting the region's tourism potential.
