In February, San José del Guaviare dresses up with the Caimán Rumbero Summer Festival, one of the most anticipated events in the municipality's festive calendar.
The festival has a varied program with the city's central park and the waters of the Guaviare River as the main stages.
In the park, music brings together the entire community with performances by local artists and special guests with genres as varied as llanera music, salsa and urban music. Sport fishing competitions are held on the river in which fishermen from the municipality and other nearby towns participate.
Contests and tournaments of soccer, volleyball and indigenous ancestral games are also organized, as well as horseback riding and cycle rides.
Gastronomic and craft fairs complement the experience, offering visitors the opportunity to taste typical dishes and purchase local products. The San José del Guaviare Summer Festival is an ideal occasion to enjoy nature, culture and sports, promoting tourism and highlighting the beauties of this region.
