Every year, as part of the celebration of the Peasant Family, the municipality of Tenjo located about 28 kilometers from Bogotá pays tribute to its artisans at the "Ruana" and Peasant Music Festival (Festival de la Ruana y La Música Campesina).
During this day, in the town square you can enjoy live performances by "carranguera" music groups, both local and from nearby towns such as Tunja, Chocontá, Cota and Bogotá.

Annually more than 100 groups from towns such as Chía, Cajicá, Facatativá, Mosquera and Tenjo meet in Villeta to show the educational processes carried out in the children's and youth bands of the municipalities.
