At the beginning of January, as a preamble to the fairs and festivals in honor of the Virgin of Manare, the municipality of Paz de Ariporo becomes the scene of the International Festival (Festival de la Llanura), an event that seeks to highlight and celebrate the traditions of the Colombian and Venezuelan plains.
