In January, the Pedro Flórez International Festival of the "Bandola Llaner" a is held in Maní, a municipality of Casanare located about 80 kilometers from Yopal, with which tribute is paid to this characteristic instrument of the Colombian and Venezuelan plains and to Pedro Flórez, musician from Maní who is considered the best bandit player in Colombia.

"Llanera" music is the main protagonist of the festival. In addition to the presentations of local and regional artists, with the participation of both Colombian and Venezuelan musicians, within the framework of the festival, competitions are held in the traditional categories of the llanero festivals such as vocal recia, unpublished passage, copla, creole dance and , of course, bandola.

However, the “Pedro Flórez” is much more than a music festival, being a true celebration of "llanero" culture.

During the weekend, gastronomic and craft fairs with local products are organized, there are bullfighting and corralejas events, horseback riding, cockfighting challenges and traditional games such as spinning top and zaranda.

The Pedro Flórez International Festival of the "Bandola Llanera" not only preserves and promotes Llanera music and traditions, but also strengthens cultural ties between Colombia and Venezuela, being a meeting and celebration space for all lovers of Llanera culture."
