In mid-June, the Colombo Jazz Festival is held in Manizales, a musical event organized by the city's Colombo American Center and the Network of Colombo American Centers, with the support of the United States Embassy.

The festival, which was born in 2010 to fill the void left by the defunct Manizales International Jazz Festival, aims to promote jazz as a form of artistic and cultural expression, while promoting cultural exchange between Colombia and the United States.

During the festival, a series of concerts are held in nearby venues such as the Rogelio Salmona University Cultural Center or the Manizales headquarters of the National University of Colombia, allowing a wide audience to enjoy live music.

In addition to concerts, workshops, master classes and lectures given by leading musicians are offered during the Colombo Jazz Festival, giving participants the opportunity to learn and delve deeper into the genre.

The festival not only enriches the cultural life of Manizales, but also boosts tourism and the local economy, attracting jazz lovers from different regions. This event has established itself as an essential event for jazz fans, highlighting the city as an important cultural reference in the country.
