During Holy Week, the municipality of Tibasosa becomes the perfect setting for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in all kinds of cultural activities that pay tribute to the life and passion of Christ and celebrate the Catholic tradition of Boyacá and Colombia.
In addition to being able to experience the celebrations and processions characteristic of the religious calendar during the Holy Week, Tibaseños and visitors can enjoy different events such as sacred music concerts and the impressive staging of the passion of Christ, which involves more than 30 actors from different theater companies in the municipality.
In addition to this, during the week school holidays are used to carry out other types of non-religious activities such as the Cine al Parque and Cine a la Vereda screenings, an initiative of one of the local film clubs, which makes the seventh art accessible to everyone, taking it to the central park of the town and to different paths of the municipality.
