At the end of June, the town of San Pablo, in Magdalena Medio, Bolivar, celebrates its traditional patron saint festivities (Fiestas Patronales en honor a San Pedro y San Pablo), in honor of the Apostle who gives its name to the municipality, whose festival is celebrated on the 29th of the month.

The festivals are a celebration of local culture, with activities that keep alive the traditions of the region such as cultural displays with music and folk dances and typical costumes, gastronomic fairs where you can enjoy the most characteristic dishes of the region such as "sancocho" and the fried local fish, and the traditional corralejas in which the participants, many of them amateurs, bravely fight a bull in a plaza made of guadua and cane, to the sound of the traditional fandango.

The festivities also include live music on the stage installed in the town's main park with guest artists for the occasion. The feast of San Pablo, on the 29th, is celebrated with the traditional procession with the image of the patron saint and the Eucharist, followed by a show of fireworks that decorates the San Pablo sky at night.

The patron saint festivities of San Pablo Bolívar (Fiestas Patronales en honor a San Pedro y San Pablo) not only strengthen the identity and cohesion of the community, but also attract visitors from other regions, interested in living the experience of this authentic and colorful celebration.
