In July the Plaza Mayor convention center in Medellín hosts Colombia Moda, an event that has been held since 1990 within the framework of the Colombian Fashion Week, and which over time has become the most important fashion fair in Colombia and one of the most influential in Latin America, convening more than 50.000 annually visitors and more than 400 exhibitors.
Throughout its three days, Colombia Moda offers a varied program that includes catwalks by recognized and emerging designers, who present their most recent collections to a specialized audience. Trends in clothing, footwear and accessories are the protagonists in these shows, which highlight the creativity and innovation of the designers.
In addition, the fair includes commercial exhibitions where brands and companies in the sector show their products, generating business opportunities and strategic alliances.
The event is also recognized for its training spaces, such as conferences and workshops, in which industry experts share knowledge about sustainability, innovation, and the future of the fashion business.
Colombia Moda not only boosts the country's textile industry, but also positions Medellín as an epicenter of design and fashion in Latin America, attracting international visitors and strengthening the local creative economy.
