At the beginning of November, the municipality of Betulia in the southwest of Antioquia, a coffee-growing land par excellence, celebrates the Harvest Festival (Fiestas de la Cosecha ), with which the Betulians pay tribute to the abundance of their soil.

The festivities include a peasant market and coffee festival, where you can purchase this typical product of the region, as well as taste it in different preparations and learn more about its production process, from the coffee plantation to the cup, including its collection, drying and roast.

You can also see the other characteristic products of the area such as banana, mango and sugar cane, from which panela, blanched panela, marshmallow and other sweets are made. Another main event of the festival is the traditional harvest parade, with typical costumes, music and dances characteristic of the coffee-growing region of Antioquia.

In addition to this, within the framework of the festivities you can enjoy live concerts in the main park with local talent and guest artists of national and international stature.

The Harvest Festivals (Fiestas de la Cosecha ) in Betulia not only celebrate the productivity of the countryside, but also strengthen community ties and encourage local pride, consolidating themselves as an essential tradition in the festive calendar of southwest Antioquia.
