In November the municipality of Yondó in Magdalena Medio Antioquia celebrates its anniversary, commemorating Ordinance 38 of 1978 by which it was erected as a municipality.

During the weekend around November 23, the municipal soccer field becomes the scene of a large number of guest artists of national stature.

In recent years Paola Jara, Rikarena, Jorge Celedón and Farid Ortiz have performed there.
There are also presentations by local artists with exponents of rhythms such as vallenato, merengue or reggaetón.

As part of the Yondó anniversary festivities, sports competitions of soccer, basketball, volleyball and athletics are also organized, as well as horseback riding, ecological walks and film screenings, activities suitable for all ages that bring the community together.

The Yondó anniversary celebrates the history of this municipality and highlights the culture of Magdalena Medio.

In addition, it is an occasion that revitalizes the local economy by receiving visitors from nearby towns, mainly from Barrancabermeja, which is just half an hour away across the Guillermo Gaviria bridge over the Magdalena River.
