Every year around San José Day, the Tameño Nato Festival (Festival del Tameño Nato) is organized in Tame, a festival full of history and tradition that seeks to honor the ways of life of the inhabitants of this municipality of Arauca.
In a weekend full of music, gastronomic fairs and dance competitions, the bulk of the attention goes to the Size Nato Parade in which different troupes stage the lifestyle of size people from other times.
The town's own inhabitants parade in various costumes representing the history and customs of the town over the years, from the first indigenous peoples, through the colonial period and the presence of the Society of Jesus in the region, to the campaign liberator, the 20th century and today.
The parade ends in the main park of the town, where each of the troupes is exalted.
This festival celebrates the most authentic "Llanero" customs, transmitted from generation to generation, bringing together locals and visitors in a cultural environment that highlights the deepest and most beautiful roots of the Llanero people.
