Between May and June, Tumaco hosts the "Saboreando el Pacífico" (Savoring the Pacific) Gastronomic Festival, an event held at the beautiful Morro Beach, located on the island of the same name, north of the urban center.

The festival features over 50 food stalls where attendees can find the most emblematic dishes of Colombian Pacific cuisine, such as "arroz atollado" (a rice dish), crab "empanadas", "bocachico" fish in coconut sauce, and various preparations made with seafood and fish.

Desserts, sweets, and juices made from the region's typical fruits are also plentiful. One of the main attractions of the festival is the live cooking shows, where renowned chefs prepare their dishes in front of the audience.

Other activities include traditional music performances and artisan fairs that enhance the culinary experience, as well as networking spaces for professionals in the culinary world.

"Saboreando el Pacífico" is not only a space to enjoy local gastronomy but also promotes tourism, economic development, and the recognition of the region's cultural identity, projecting a positive image of Tumaco and its surroundings to the rest of the country and abroad.
