Pasto Jazz Festival is a cultural festival held annually in September in the city of Pasto, Nariño, and which has established itself as one of the most important jazz events in southern Colombia.
The festival brings together national and international musicians, offering a platform for the dissemination and enjoyment of jazz in its various expressions.
During the festival, concerts are held in various venues around the city, from theaters to outdoor spaces, allowing jazz to reach a diverse audience.
Participating musicians explore a wide range of styles within the genre, such as traditional jazz, bebop, Latin jazz and fusions with Andean music, reflecting the festival's openness to innovation and experimentation, a hallmark of the event. Pasto Jazz also has an academic component with workshops, master classes and conferences, aimed at both musicians and the general public.
Pasto Jazz not only enriches the cultural scene of Pasto, but also strengthens the musical and artistic growth of the region with its mission to not only entertain, but also educate the public about this musical genre.
