In Morelia, a municipality whose head is located just 25 kilometers from Florencia (Caquetá), the popular Summer Festival is celebrated at the beginning of the year, an event that has been taking place for fifteen years and has become one of the festivities most anticipated by the inhabitants of this town in the Amazon foothills.
With a great dawn on motorcycles, the festivities begin, whose programming revolves around the Bodoquero River and its beaches. Activities are carried out there such as beach volleyball tournaments, contests and game circuits for children and families, triathlon competitions and the popular “Vuelta del Amor”, as a route taken along the river on a tire is called.
Throughout the weekend, concerts with special guests of national stature are also held on the stage of the town's main park, as well as the popular “Miss Tanga” beauty contest.
The Summer Festival in Morelia is a celebration that strengthens the cultural identity of the municipality and encourages community coexistence, fun and physical activity, while attracting tourists who want to enjoy the natural beauty and hospitality of the region.
