In October, the Mompox Jazz Festival is held in Mompox, a colonial jewel of the department of Bolívar, one of the most important festivals dedicated to this musical genre in the country.

During the festival, Mompox receives prominent national and international artists, who offer open-air concerts. Musicians from Mompos and from other places in the department fill the streets of the town with music with street jazz.

On the main stage, in the Jazz Park on the banks of the fork of the Magdalena River called Brazo de Mompós, concerts are held with guest artists and local talent, who perform various genres, ranging from classical jazz to Latin jazz, blues and funk.

The Mompox Jazz Festival not only focuses on concerts, but also includes a series of parallel activities, such as workshops, conferences and jam sessions. These activities give attendees the opportunity to interact with musicians, learn about the history and technique of jazz, and participate in musical improvisations.

This cultural event attracts tourists from all over the country and abroad, boosting the local economy and promoting Mompox as a tourist and cultural destination. The Mompox Jazz Festival celebrates music, history and community, establishing itself as an unmissable event for lovers of jazz and culture.
