At the beginning of December, the Livestock and Agribusiness Fair (Feria Ganadera y Agro Empresarial ) takes place in San Juan del Cesar, an event of great relevance for the agricultural and livestock sector of the region that brings together producers, businessmen, and exhibitors from various municipalities, who present the best of their products and advances in livestock, agriculture and agroindustry.
During the fair, cattle and goat exhibitions are held, as well as a horse fair, which makes the event a key space for the purchase and sale of specimens of great genetic value.
In addition, livestock judging contests are held, where the best specimens are awarded for their breed and productive characteristics.
The traditional dairy cow competition is also held and advances in agricultural technology, agricultural inputs and modern machinery are presented, giving local producers the opportunity to update themselves in innovative practices to improve productivity.
The fair also includes cultural and recreational activities, such as gastronomic samples from the region and musical shows, which makes it a meeting space for the entire community.
