Every year, between September and October, the coastal town of Puerto Colombia becomes the musical capital of the Atlántico department with the “Un Mar de Voces” Choral Festival, in which Atlantic residents celebrate the work of their choirs.

The festival seeks to bring together as many choirs as possible from different municipalities in the department, as well as some special guests from other places in the country and abroad. The Festival is characterized by its varied programming, which includes presentations with free admission at various stages in Puerto Colombia and Barranquilla.

The participating choirs perform a wide repertoire ranging from folk and traditional music to classical and contemporary works, showing the versatility and talent of the singers.

In addition to concerts, "Un Mar de Voces" offers training spaces through workshops and conversations aimed at singers, choir directors and music enthusiasts. These educational activities encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences, contributing to the development and strengthening of the choral movement in the region.

This event not only highlights the importance of vocal music, but also strengthens the cultural identity of Puerto Colombia and promotes cultural tourism, consolidating itself as a reference event in the cultural calendar of the Colombian Caribbean.
