In August in Aranzazu, a municipality of Norte Caldense located about 50 kilometers north of Manizales, the traditional Grade B Equine Exhibition takes place, one of the main equine exhibitions in the department.
This exhibition is a space where local stud farms and from other regions of the country exhibit the best examples of horses of different breeds and categories, especially those of Paso Fino, trocha, trot and gallop.
During the exhibition, rigorous judging is carried out by experts, who evaluate aspects such as the physical conformation, temperament and performance of the horses.
These events not only attract breeders and hobbyists from the region, but also traders and spectators from other parts of the country, interested in learning about and acquiring high-level specimens.
The Aranzazu Grade B Equine Show is also an opportunity for the community to gather around cultural and recreational activities that accompany the event, such as musical performances, craft fairs and gastronomic samples.
This event not only strengthens the local economy, but also preserves and promotes the equine tradition, which is an integral part of the cultural identity of Aranzazu and its surroundings.
