In November, the municipality of Marseille in Risaralda, located just 30 kilometers from Pereira, celebrates its emblematic Friendship Festival (Fiesta de la Amistad), a festival that already has more than half a century of tradition, having been formalized in 1972.

One of the most anticipated moments within the varied program of the festivities is the Homeland Parade, in which the educational institutions and organizations of the municipality participate, with typical costumes, music and folk dances that highlight aspects of the local identity.

The Friendship Festival includes craft and gastronomic fairs, where visitors can taste typical dishes from the region and purchase locally handmade products. Sports activities, such as soccer and cycling tournaments, are also part of the program, as well as art exhibitions that showcase local talent.

Concerts with regional and national artists complete the festive atmosphere that makes Marseillais people enjoy the weekend. These festivals are not only an opportunity to enjoy local culture, but also to strengthen community ties and promote tourism in Marsella, highlighting the warmth and hospitality of its people.
