At the end of June in the municipality of Carolina del Príncipe, “Colombia's colonial garden”, the Juzgado Equine Festival takes place organized by ASDESILLA.
Within the framework of the festival, more than 130 specimens from kennels from different parts of the department participate and compete in the municipal coliseum. In addition to this, during the festival the competing horses parade through the streets of the town so that all the Carolinians and foreign horse lovers who come to the town for this event can enjoy the beauty of the horses, enhanced by the beautiful architecture and the characteristic balconies of the town.
The Carolina del Príncipe Equine Festival (Festival Equino) not only celebrates the horseback riding tradition of Antioquia, but also boosts tourism and the local economy, consolidating itself as an important event for the cultural identity of the region.
