In September the municipality of San Pablo, on the banks of the Magdalena River, is filled with music and color with the Festival of Dances and Sung Drums (Festival de Danzas y Tamboras), an event that celebrates the musical tradition of the region.
 
During the festival, delegations from other municipalities of Bolívar and the Caribbean coast meet in San Pablo to offer live performances of quantos de tumbara, free rhyming songs with a soloist and choir, accompanied by this characteristic instrument of the region. , in which everyday life situations are normally related. 

In addition to this, colorful parades are held in which the delegations wear typical costumes of the region, as well as creative costumes that celebrate the myths, flora and fauna of the Caribbean coast.
 
The San Pablo Dance and Drum Festival strengthens the sense of identity and community, promoting a shared pride in cultural heritage. It not only celebrates the cultural richness of the region, but also ensures the continuity of its valuable traditions.
