One of the main events of the anniversary celebrations of the founding of Bogotá (celebrated on August 6) is the Parade of "Comparsas" (Desfile de Comparsas), the largest staging in the city that involves dancers, actors and artists from all over the metropolis. .
Annually more than 1,000 artists participate in the parade, representing the 20 towns of the city, in a route that usually takes the Carrera Séptima, ending in the Plaza de Bolívar.
