In September of each year, since its first edition in 2000, the International Poetry Festival (Festival Internacional de La Poesía de Cali) is held in Cali, one of the most notable events within the city's cultural agenda.

During the event, numerous activities are carried out, including poetry recitals, workshops, conferences and competitions for unpublished works.

Participating poets, both national and international, share their works in various settings throughout the city, including theaters, parks and libraries, allowing attendees to enjoy a variety of poetic styles and voices.

These activities not only highlight the beauty and power of the written word, but also encourage intercultural dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

The Cali International Poetry Festival also includes community activities, bringing poetry to less privileged neighborhoods and communities. In this way, the festival not only celebrates poetry, but also seeks to democratize access to culture and literary education.

The Cali International Poetry Festival (Festival Internacional de La Poesía de Cali) is not only a suitable space to soak up one of the highest artistic expressions such as poetry, but it also seeks to be a space for dialogue and critical discussion about the reality of the country.
